# Four YouTube Videos, Twenty Clips, and Results That Came Later

We filmed in a park and turned the recordings into four long videos and a month of short clips. The results kept growing after the first few weeks.

**Key takeaways**

**Short answer:** We made four long-form videos and twenty clips for WorldRun from a park shoot. The content led to a free running club. YouTube results developed later. We also got more than 136,000 views on Instagram from the same content.

- Four long videos → five clips each → twenty short videos.
- Videos tab: 27.1K views from 1 Jul to 23 Oct 2026.
- Breathing video: 18,410 views since publication.
- More than 136,000 Instagram views from the same recordings.

Twenty clips

We made four long-form videos for WorldRun.online and cut twenty short videos from those recordings. Five clips from each long video.

We filmed in a park, using different locations throughout the shoot. The content pointed viewers toward registration in a free running club.

The longer-term response became the important part of this case. We did not continue the engagement, and the main difficulty was the time YouTube needed to build momentum. The recordings kept finding viewers later.

## What did we make, and what was it supposed to do?

WorldRun.online is a running community project. The content gave its speaker room to explain practical running questions and invite viewers to join the free club.

We used the content to invite people into the free running club. I don’t have the registration numbers yet.

| Starting task | What we produced | Where the content led |
|---|---|---|
| Explain running through useful videos and bring people into the community. | Four long-form videos and twenty clips from the same recordings. | Registration in a free running club. |

The short videos gave the author roughly a month of additional content without a separate Reels shoot. They came from the material already recorded for YouTube.

## How did we film the videos in the park?

We used several locations within the park. The backstage photographs show the speaker, cameras, and the outdoor recording setup.

That setting gave the running explanations a real environment. The photographs also show how the finished videos began: with a speaker being recorded on location, rather than separate filming for every social post.

One filming day became four longer explanations. We then selected five short clips from each, making twenty in total.

We used the same filming day to record the long videos and the material for the clips.

## Which four long-form videos did we produce?

The set covered getting started, breathing, a first distance, and the speaker's own running experience. The original videos are in Russian; the labels here describe their subjects in English.

| Video subject | Published |
|---|---|
| [How to start running](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUpIp_RM52k) | 4 Jul 2026 |
| [Breathing while running](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_l_Vb3jj7M) | 10 Jul 2026 |
| [Preparing for your first 5 km](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMXacOuWS38) | 17 Jul 2026 |
| [Nine years of running every day](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=focKBA5u62U) | 24 Jul 2026 |

The four videos were published across July. Their viewing histories continued for months after those publication dates.

## Why did the engagement stop?

We did not continue working together. The main issue was the wait for YouTube results.

This is a difficulty I discuss with clients: the early response can be very different from the response a video receives later. In this project, the later analytics make that delay visible.

I would not describe the initial response as the complete result. The videos were still collecting views after the first weeks, and the curves became steeper later.

That does not guarantee that another video will take off after a month or two. It explains why the time horizon mattered in this engagement. A short production period and a longer viewing history can tell different stories.

## What happened to the breathing video after publication?

The breathing video was published on 10 Jul 2026. We got 18,410 views, 570.7 watch hours, and 110 new subscribers from this video.

Its cumulative curve continues rising well beyond the first month. The climb becomes more pronounced later in the viewing history.

| Video | Views since publication | Watch hours | Subscribers gained |
|---|---|---|---|
| Breathing while running | 18,410 | 570.7 | 110 |
| Nine years of running every day | 6,612 | 177.7 | 40 |

The second video shows a similar point. The daily-running story was published on 24 Jul 2026, and its cumulative viewing curve kept rising afterward.

Daily-running video: 6,612 views, 177.7 watch hours, and 40 subscribers gained since publication. YouTube Studio, 2 Nov 2026.

These are the individual videos' since-publication figures. They use a different reporting window from the channel's July-to-October report below.

## What did the channel's long-form report show?

The Videos tab for 1 Jul to 23 Oct 2026 shows about 27,100 views, 234,900 thumbnail impressions, a 5.0% thumbnail click-through rate, and an average view duration of 3:25.

The chart shows a more sustained level of daily views later in the period. That supports the central point of this case: the viewing response developed over time.

![YouTube Videos tab, 1 Jul to 23 Oct 2026: 27.1K views and 234.9K thumbnail impressions. YouTube Studio, 2 Nov 2026.](https://evgenymaximov.com/img/worldrun/youtube-long-form.png)

YouTube Videos tab, 1 Jul to 23 Oct 2026: 27.1K views and 234.9K thumbnail impressions. YouTube Studio, 2 Nov 2026.

| Videos tab metric | 1 Jul to 23 Oct 2026 |
|---|---|
| Views | About 27,100 |
| Thumbnail impressions | About 234,900 |
| Thumbnail click-through rate | 5.0% |
| Average view duration | 3:25 |

This is the channel's Videos-tab report. It should not be added to the individual lifetime video totals as though those were separate audiences.

The Shorts tab for the same dates shows 64,500 views, 31,700 engaged views, 576 likes, and 45 subscribers gained. That is channel-level context; the screenshot does not isolate our twenty clips.

## What did the clips do on Instagram?

The recordings also became Reels on [WorldRun's Instagram page](https://www.instagram.com/worldrun.online/reels/). The author did not need to film additional material for those clips.

We got more than 136,000 views on Instagram from the same content.

We cut these Reels from the long videos. The author did not spend extra time filming them.

![Some of the Reels we cut from the long videos. We used large white-and-red text on the covers.](https://evgenymaximov.com/img/worldrun/instagram-grid-02.png)

Some of the Reels we cut from the long videos. We used large white-and-red text on the covers.

| Reel topic | Views |
|---|---|
| Out of breath on a run? Do this | 15.8K |
| Do not buy expensive running shoes | 14.1K |
| Do this to build endurance | 10.6K |
| Build a running habit | 9,679 |
| Do not chase speed | 9,054 |

We turned one set of recordings into content for both YouTube and Instagram.

We gave the author twenty short videos from those four recordings. He had roughly a month of content ready without another shoot.

## How did the free club fit into the funnel?

The content invited people to register in a free running club. That was the intended next step after watching.

We can show the content and the viewing response. We cannot yet show how many viewers completed registration or how many later bought anything.

Those are separate questions from whether a video received views. A complete conversion report would need the registrations attributed to these publications and the period covered.

## What would I repeat, and what would I change?

I would keep the connection between long recordings and short clips. Here, four longer videos gave us twenty clips without asking the author to record twenty additional pieces.

The expectation-setting needs as much attention as the shoot. This engagement did not continue, while the videos' later viewing histories showed why judging them only by the early response would miss part of the result.

For another project, I would agree on the review horizon before recording. The production output, the audience response, and the registrations should each have their own record.
