# Coaching Business Marketing: How to Get High-Ticket Coaching Clients Without Posting Every Day

Coaches are told to post every day: reels, stories, carousels. Many burn out and still don't fill their programs. The coaches who sign high-ticket clients usually do something else: fewer, longer pieces of content that let people experience the coaching first.

**Key takeaways**

**Short answer:** coaching business marketing works when people can experience your coaching before they buy. Pick one ideal client, publish long-form content that shows your method working (masterclasses, recorded coaching sessions, client stories, answers to real questions), give every piece one clear next step, usually a call, and cut it into short clips for reach. For high-ticket coaching, depth beats frequency.

- People buy coaching after experiencing your coaching.
- Buyers often watch about 47 minutes of content before deciding.
- Record real sessions. Nothing proves coaching like coaching.
- One long video a week beats seven reels a week.

## Why is marketing a coaching business different?

Coaching is invisible. A client can't touch it before buying. So your marketing has to let them experience it: how you think, how you ask questions, how you solve problems.

That's why daily tips rarely sell high-ticket coaching. A 30-second tip shows that you know something. A 40-minute session shows that you can help.

## What actually works in coaching business marketing?

Three things. Everything else is noise.

1. **Show up on camera.** Your face and your voice are the product.
2. **Make content for one ideal client.** Their problems, their words.
3. **Have a sales mechanism.** A call, a webinar, a DM conversation. Content without a next step is a hobby.

Most coaches I talk to have the first one and skip the other two. They post for "everyone who wants to grow", and nobody knows what to do after the video ends.

## Which content formats sell coaching?

Three formats do most of the selling. Then you fill the gaps with answers to real questions your clients ask, one question per video.

### 1. The masterclass

45–90 minutes on your core method. Pin it everywhere. It works like a webinar that never expires. When I built a strategy for [Brian Mark](https://evgenymaximov.com/blog/brian-mark-youtube-strategy/), a coach with about 700,000 Instagram followers, the masterclass was the center of it: setters could send it to leads who went quiet, so they came to the call already sold on the method.

### 2. Recorded coaching sessions

A real client (with permission), a real problem, 30–40 minutes. [Jeremy Haynes](https://www.youtube.com/@JeremyHaynesTraining) and [Matt Gray](https://www.youtube.com/@realmattgray) build whole channels on this: "this business owner asked me how to scale". The viewer sees exactly what they would get.

### 3. Client stories

The client tells what changed, in their words. Short, honest, with a result. Here's [how to film client testimonials](https://evgenymaximov.com/blog/client-testimonial-video/) that don't feel staged.

## How much content does a coach need?

Less than you think. [Taki Moore](https://www.youtube.com/@TakiMoore) shared a story about a former client who analyzed his buyers: every one of them had consumed at least 47 minutes of content before buying. That's five 10-minute videos, or one masterclass.

A realistic monthly plan:

- **One filming day:** four long videos.
- **Shorts** cut from them: 15–20 a month. From an hour of conversation we usually get 5 to 15 good Shorts, more only from very experienced speakers.
- **One email** per video to your list.
- **One live session** a month, recorded and reused.

![One filming day gives four long videos, which give about twenty shorts](https://evgenymaximov.com/img/fig-one-four-twenty.webp)One filming day → four long videos → about twenty Shorts

## Which platform should a coach use?

- **YouTube:** the best home for long-form, evergreen trust and search.
- **Instagram:** daily connection, stories, launches with deadlines.
- **LinkedIn:** best for executive and business coaches.
- **A newsletter:** your own list, nobody can take it away.
- **TikTok:** huge reach, but a younger audience that's there for entertainment. For high-ticket coaching I don't recommend it.

Pick one home platform for long content and use the others to distribute it. Elisabetta Maccani, an Italian fluency coach we work with, built an audience of 36,000 people. Then she stopped posting, because she did everything herself: ideas, scripts, editing, thumbnails, publishing. Now she records in one morning, and the team handles the rest: a video sales letter, Shorts and clip ideas from Italian movies for her American students.

## How do executive coaches get clients?

Executive and CEO coaches sell to a small, busy, skeptical audience. One client can be worth a year of work, so you don't need reach. You need the right 200 people to trust you. What works:

- **LinkedIn for reach, YouTube for depth.** Executives watch long videos at night or on flights.
- **Case conversations** with real leaders, anonymized if needed.
- **Frameworks with names.** Executives like structured thinking they can repeat to their team.
- **Speaking and podcasts,** cut into clips. Here's [how to get booked on podcasts](https://evgenymaximov.com/blog/podcast-guesting/).

## How do coaches turn content into clients?

Every long video ends with one next step:

- **A call** for high-ticket programs.
- **A masterclass** for people who aren't ready to talk.
- **A community or a low-ticket offer,** if you have one.

Shorts can sell too, if they lead somewhere short. One of our clients is an American football coach who sells online courses. He sat down for one hour, we cut the session into Shorts and published about 15 of them. Each Short pointed through "Related video" to a short sales video, not to a long lesson. Result: a course sale, tracked with Hyros. Not a flood, but proof that the path works.

And ask every new client which video they watched first. You'll quickly see which content sells. More on this in [how to track YouTube ROI](https://evgenymaximov.com/blog/youtube-roi-tracking/).

## Does a coach need a marketing agency?

Not at the start. If you don't know your ideal client yet, or your offer changes every month, an agency will just make content faster in the wrong direction. Start yourself: a phone, a mic, one video a week.

An agency makes sense when three things are true: you know who you sell to, you have clients and results to show, and the bottleneck is time. You coach all day, and the content stops. Kitti Majorán, a marketing strategist, started with our mentoring program and built her channel with one consistent style. Her words: "it would have taken me years".

## FAQ

**How do you market a coaching business?**

Pick one ideal client, publish long-form content that shows your coaching in action (masterclasses, recorded sessions, client stories, answers to real questions), give each piece one clear next step like a call, and cut it into short clips for reach.

**What is the best way to get coaching clients?**

Let potential clients experience your coaching before they buy. Long videos, recorded sessions and masterclasses do this at scale, while conversations and referrals close the deals.

**Do coaches need to post every day?**

No. For high-ticket coaching, depth matters more than frequency. Four long videos a month, cut into Shorts and posts, usually do more than daily tips.

**Is YouTube good for coaches?**

Yes. Long videos show how a coach thinks and teaches, and they stay searchable for years. Taki Moore shared a story where every buyer of one coaching business had watched at least 47 minutes of content before buying.

**How do executive coaches find clients?**

Through LinkedIn for reach, long-form videos and podcasts for depth, speaking, and referrals. Executives respond to named frameworks and real conversations with other leaders.

**Should coaches record real coaching sessions?**

Yes, with the client's permission. A recorded session is the strongest proof of coaching quality, and it makes engaging long-form content.

**What content should a business coach create?**

A masterclass on your core method, recorded sessions with real business owners, client stories with results and answers to the questions clients ask most often.

**Which platform is best for coaches?**

Pick one home platform for long content, usually YouTube, and use Instagram, LinkedIn and email to distribute it. LinkedIn suits executive and business coaches. TikTok's audience is younger and there for entertainment, so it rarely sells high-ticket coaching.

**Do coaches need a marketing agency?**

Not at the start. A coach needs one ideal client, one offer and a way to sell. An agency makes sense once you know what you sell and the bottleneck is time: you're coaching all day and the content stops.

**How long does it take to get coaching clients from content?**

An existing audience can convert within weeks once a masterclass is live. Steady inbound from search and recommendations usually builds over several months.
